Why do you need S.I.S Ltd?

The Health and Safety in Employment Act (HASE) imposes a general duty of care over employers, owners of properties and those in control of a place of work including school Board of Trustees and any Contractor that employs a sub-contractor to take all practical steps to ensure that they are maintaining a safe workplace.

This means you must:

In addition you must have a system in place to monitor the control of those hazards. Many organisations are not in a position to have a dedicated employee responsible for Health and Safety and so it becomes a bolt on to another function such as HR. The danger of this scenario is that some times the employee given the responsibility may not have the depth and breadth of knowledge to fully protect the workforce, the organisation or its property. If this sounds like your company then S.I.S. Ltd is here to help. We can provide as much or as little expertise and support as you need.

How to lower your ACC Levies

On 1 April 2011, ACC introduced experience rating - a system of modifying a business's ACC work levy based on its claims history. Historically, the work levy has been based on injury rates across industry categories. A business has paid the same work levy as others operating in the same industry, despite differences in their safety record. Experience rating rewards those business owners with safer workplaces, and encourages a focus on improving workplace safety and making New Zealand businesses better places to work. S.I.S Ltd can work with you to help lower your loss time incident frequency rate (LTIFR) working towards a target of zero harm.

S.I.S Ltd will guide you through the ACC Audit process to enable you to gain ACC accreditation which is another way to help reduce your company's ACC Levies which not only positively impacts on your bottom line but can also improve your standing with your clients.

A safer workforce is a more productive workforce as employees feel valued, and are more inclined to stay with you thus reducing repeated training costs and recruitment costs.

So you do the math; Safety + Compliance = Peace of Mind
